VSS Monitoring combines high-level intelligence and distributed traffic capture, making its products the industry’s most capable. VSS Distributed Traffic Capture Systems are the only network taps to combine selective aggregation of network traffic and filtering with high port density, span port capture and a graphical user interface. |
| Innovative Technology |
Selective aggregation and filtering provide greater access and visibility for monitoring tools.
Supports centralized management, multiple monitoring systems.
Leverages monitoring infrastructure across a wide number of networks.
Reduces overall monitoring deployment and maintenance costs by up to 80%.
Reduces response time to troubleshooting and security incidents by providing management access and connectivity between all analyzers and all capture points.
Invisible to the network, providing untouched pass-through and true copies of network traffic for real-time monitoring.
Broad product portfolio supports nearly every network, including legacy infrastructure. |
| Products |
Distributed Traffic Capture Systems: Remotely manageable traffic-capture devices which work together as a system to significantly leverage multiple monitoring tools over a larger number of networks for greater visibility and significant reduction of total monitoring costs.
Features include:

|
ο High port-density aggregation |
ο Filtering (pre-analyzer) on OSI layers 2-4 |
|
ο Port I/O mapping |
ο GUI / CLI / SNMP management |

Single Taps: Basic network tap that provides capture of a single full-duplex network and outputs the copied traffic (without any stream aggregation) to a single monitoring device.
High-Density Taps: Multiple (up to 24) single taps in a single 1U enclosure. Saves users rack space.
Regeneration Taps: Capture and replication of network traffic for multiple monitoring systems.
Aggregation Taps: Capture of multiple networks (or single full-duplex network) for output onto a single stream.
Data-Injection Taps: Traffic capture, along with an active capability for IPS sourced data-injection into the network (TCP resets, etc.). |
| Application |
Ethernet, SONET and ATM traffic-capture systems for forensics, security, performance, behavior, VoIP and new media analysis solutions in both inline and span (mirror) port applications. |
| Target Markets |
Telecommunications carriers, service providers, large enterprises and government. |
