VSS' Protector allows users to set the level of protection their network infrastructure needs. With the PowerSafe feature, a user decides what happens when power is lost to their network infrastructure.
PowerSafe ensures the Protector, in the event of loss of power, enforces an organization's security policy, which is either Failing Open in order to keep a network live or Failing Closed in order to keep the network traffic from continuing to flow unmonitored.
