VSSMonitoring은네트워크모니터링툴의최대치를활용할수있도록Aggregation과
SelectiveAggregation기술을선도하여왔다.그중Filtering은네트워크디바이스의지적능력을새로운차원으로끌어올리는기술로,더이상불필요한패킷을모니터링툴이모두처리해야하는불편함을없애주고관심있는패킷만을선택하여진행시키므로필요없는패킷으로인한네트워크과부하를방지한다.
이기능은UpstreamAggregation의트래픽을현저히감소시키므로포트수를늘리기위해DistributedTap여러대를사용해도네트워크에무리를주지않을수있다.

Product Description
8x8DistributedTap은10Gigabit네트워크에서융통성있게트래픽캡쳐를할수있는디바이스다.
이디바이스는여덟개의LC포트와여덟개의XFP포트로구성되어있다.모든포트는SPAN(Unidirectional)Input또는MonitorOutput으로설정가능하다.LC포트를InlineTap포트로주문하면PassiveNetworkAccess를할수있다.Inline빌드에서도XFP포트는Input/Output설정이가능하다.
이디바이스는시리얼콘솔을통한로컬매니지먼트,텔넷,HTTP,SNMP를통한리모트매니지먼트가지원된다.Filter옵션이모니터링트래픽을스크린하여Aggregation동안패킷손실이발생하지않는것을확인하며Input능력을높여준다.Filtering은Source와DestinationMAC/IPAddres에따라트래픽을구분시키는것은물롞,HTTP,VoIP등의특정프로토콜에따라구분하도록설정할수있다. |

LoadBalancing은모니터링툴로의트래픽분산을효과적으로컨트롟할수있게하며,세션을온젂하게유지하면서Output의능력을향상시켜준다.예를들어,10G네트워크를캡쳐하여사용자가정의한세션범주에따라여러개의GigabitMonitorTool로자동분산시키는것이다.
LoadBalancing은필터링과함께적용하거나독립적으로적용시킬수있다.
모든10GDistributedTap은VSS특허의스태킹테크놀러지인vStack+을지원하므로,여러대의트래픽캡쳐디바이스를Redundant,
