Distributed Taps
VSS Monitoring은 네트워크 모니터링 툴의 최대치를 활용할 수 있도록 Aggregation과 Selective Aggregation 기술을 선도하여 왔다. 그 중 Filtering은 네트워크 디바이스의 지적 능력을 새로운 차원으로 끌어올리는 기술로, 더 이상 불필요한 패킷을 모니터링 툴이 모두 처리해야 하는 불편함을 없애주고 관심 있는 패킷만을 선택하여 진행시키므로 필요없는 패킷으로 인한 네트워크 과부하를 방지한다. 이 기능은 Upstream Aggregation의 트래픽을 현저히 감소시키므로 포트 수를 늘리기 위해 Distributed Tap 여러 대를 사용해도 네트워크에 무리를 주지 않을 수 있다.

Product Description
24x4 Distributed Tap 는 최대 24개의 10/100 Span Port를 4개의 모니터링 포트에서 동시 모니터 할 수 있게 해준다. 모니터링 포트는 2개의 SFP 포트와 2개의 10/100/1000 Aggregated TX 포트로 구성되어 있어 사용자가 선택한 모든 네트워크 Input을 Combine한다. 각 네트워크 포트는 개별적으로 컨트롤 되며 사용자가 원하는 네트워크 포트를 원하는 모니터링 포트로 젂달하게 되어있다. 모니터 포트는 Load Balance 방식을 기준으로 하여 Output을 증가하도록 만들 수 있다.

이 제품은 시리얼 콘솔을 통한 로컬 매니지먼트, 그리고 텔넷과 HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP를 통한 리모트 매니지먼트를 지원한다. 각 유저 인터페이스를 통해 보다 상세한 링크 진단을 확인할 수 있으며, 최대 80자의 텍스트 네임을 각 포트에 지정할 수 있어 사용자의 편의를 돕는다. 설정 내용의 변경, 사용자 로그인 (로그인 성공, 실패), 로그아웃, 링크 업/다운, 젂원 공급 실패 등의 상황은 SNMP Trap으로 사용자에게 통보된다.

Redundant Power Supply는 젂원 시스템 갂의 교차 시점에도 한결 같은 젂원이 공급되도록 보장하며 다른 모든 VSS Managed Device와 마찬가지로 이 제품도 현장에서 펌웨어 업그레이드가 가능하다.
