Distributed Taps
VSSMonitoring은네트워크모니터링툴의최대치를활용할수있도록Aggregation과 SelectiveAggregation기술을선도하여왔다.필터링기능은지능형네트워크디바이스의수준을한차원더높여주는역할을한다.그래픽유저인터페이스나CommandLine인터페이스를통해수천가지가능한필터중원하는것을설정하여모니터링툴의능력규모를비교할수없을만큼확장시킬수있다.

모니터링툴은더이상필요하지않은패킷을처리하는데자원을낭비할필요가없으며,따라서툴의사용목적을그대로충족시킬뿐아니라불필요한패킷으로인한네트워크과부하를발생시키지않는다.

이러한특징은스탠더드섀시를활용한모니터링툴을기성플랫폼에설치된툴과함께사용할때특히필요하다.필터링은UpstreamAggregation의트래픽양을감소시킴으로써 DistributedTap여러대를연결하여포트수를확장하여도부담이없다.
Product Description
V16.8DistributedTap은16개의UTP포트(또는FiberLC)와8개의SFP포트로되어있다.모든포트를Input또는OutputMonitor포트로자유롭게설정할수있다.UTPCopper버젂의경우Input을Inline또는SPAN으로설정할수있다.


Fiber버젂의경우Input은Inline이나SPAN으로고정되어출고된다. Fiber SPAN 버젂의모든포트는I/O 타입이며Fiber Inline 버젂은16 Network와8 Monitor 포트로고정되었으며모두Passive 이다.

LoadBalancing은모니터링툴로의트래픽분산을효과적으로컨트롟할 수있게하며,세션을온젂하게유지하면서Output의능력을향 상시 켜 준다.예를들어,10G네트워크를캡쳐하여사용자가정 의한 세션범 주에따라여러개의GigabitMonitorTool로자동 분 산 시 키 는 것이다.LoadBalancing은필터링과 함께적 용 하 거나독립적 으로 적 용 시 킬 수있다.

원시스템이이젂되는동안에도한결같은작동을하도록보장하여Uptime을최대화시킨다.모든VSSManagedDevice는현장에서펌웨어를업데이트할수있으므로이미설치된장비도새로운추가기능과강화된퍼포먼스를누릴수있다.
