12x4 10/100-1000 Port Aggregator

12x4 10/100-1000 Port Aggregator - V 12.4 C.CS-EJ-AS
The 12x4 Port Aggregator provides simultaneous monitoring of up to 12 10/100 links on 4 monitoring ports. Monitoring ports include 2 Fiber Aggregated and 2 100/1000 Aggregated TX ports which combine all user selected network inputs. The 2 aggregated fiber outputs are available in gigabit multimode and singlemode or in combination whereby 1 singlemode and 1 multimode output is used.

This device enables local management via a serial console and remote management via telnet, web browser and SNMP. Extensive link diagnostics are available through each user interface. Ports may also be assigned text names of up to 80 characters for ease of use.

The network ports can be configured to operate in either SPAN or inline mode giving the user flexibility to deploy multiple or all ports as inline taps while using the remaining ports as input streams only. Another configuration feature allows any of the 12 10/100 links to be selected for aggregation enabling the user to choose dynamically which of the 12 ports to monitor.

The FIFO aggregation process preserves the original packet order, the only exception to this occurs when the ports are configured in Tap mode. In this case all Tap ports are aggregated as pairs before being aggregated with other Tap pairs or SPAN ports. This ensures that packets of specific network origin are kept in order before being aggregated with other inputs.
