The 1x2 Gigabit Fiber to TX Aggregation Tap allows the
fail-safe pass through of full duplex data over standard fiber
cable (available in SX, LX, ZX). Decoding the optical
signals this device re-clocks the data and electronically
replicates the exact copy (including line errors) to two aggregated RJ45 monitoring ports.
A filter option enables screening of the monitoring traffic to ensure zero packet loss during aggregation. Hardware-Based Filtering also allows traffic to be distinguished according to source and destination address as well as by specific protocols, such as HTTP, VoIP, etc. Management interfaces include Telnet and HTTP.
The multimode version functions with LED or laser based devices. Various split ratios are available to meet custom specific user applications.
