The 1x1 Gigabit SX to TX, Fiber to Copper converter, Tap allows the uninterrupted pass through of full duplex data over standard multimode fiber cable. Decoding the optical signals this device reclocks the data and electronically replicates an exact copy (including line errors) to two transmit-only RJ45 monitoring ports. A user is therefore able to monitor full duplex gigabit multimode SX network with a gigabit copper monitoring device thus leveraging the monitoring flexibility and improving ROI for the gig copper based IDS and / or Analyzer.

In addition the Gigabit SX-TX Tap reclocks the data so as to maximize the signal quality and power throughput on both the network and monitoring streams. Multiple LEDs indicate power, link and activity status for easy installation and troubleshooting with connected network equipment.
