The Gigabit ZX to SX Fiber converter Tap allows the uninterrupted pass through of full duplex data over singlemode fiber cable. Decoding the optical signals this device reclocks the data and electronically replicates an exact copy (including line errors) to two transmit-only multimode monitoring ports. A user is therefore able to monitor full duplex 1550nm single mode streams with a multimode monitoring device thus eliminating the expense of additional singlemode network cards on the IDS or Analyzer.

In addition the Gigabit ZX-SX Tap reclocks the data so as to maximize the signal quality and power throughput. Multiple LEDs indicate power and link status for easy installation and troubleshooting with connected networking equipment.
