The vBroker™ Series provides network-wide visibility by accessing, capturing, and brokering traffic from one or more full-duplex networks to multiple passive network monitoring and security tools. Policy-based triggers, health checks, and fail-open / fail-closed configurability combine with filtering , grooming and load balancing to provide redundancy and high availability for in-band and out-of-band visibility.

vBroker™ 100 Family vBroker 100 VSS's third fully modular, scalable family of products that bridges the gap between Gigabit and 10G networks. All of the vBroker 100 1U and 2U models support up to three 8-port Gigabit pluggable chassis modules and one 4-port 10G/1G chassis module. The pluggable chassis modules are available in various media types such as copper UTP, SFP, SFP+ and fiber Bypass (PowerSafe) for either Inline or SPAN access. vBroker 100 is the first in the vBroker Series that has an intra-platform compatible chassis module with the vBroker 200 family. The 4-port 10G/1G chassis module, both the 1U and 2U version, is interchangeable with the vBroker 100 and 200 1U and 2U chassis respectively bringing the richness of feature sets at 10G speed to the vBroker 100 family.
vBroker™ 200 Family vBroker 200 is VSS' first fully modular, scalable family of packet brokers that bridge the gap between Gigabit and 10G networks. The 1U standard edition model has four built-in SFP+ ports and the 2U Expert edition model has eight SFP+ ports. Each model also has four 4-port pluggable modules for up to an additional 16 ports.
vBroker™ 300 Family vBroker 300 is the high density vBroker Series family that bridges the gap between 10G and 40G networks. Each model has twenty four SFP+ ports, and either four 40G QSFP+, and four 40G MTP, or thirty-two 10G LC fiber ports.
vBroker™ 400 Family vBroker 400 is a high density, fully modular, scalable family of packet brokers that bridge the gap between 1G, 10G and 40G networks. The 1U model supports two chassis modules whereas the 2U model supports four. Currently two chassis module types are available and supported on either the 1U or 2U model: one with (16) SFP+ transceiver ports or the other with (4) QSFP+ transceiver ports. Chassis modules are interchangeable and can be swapped and used in any 1U and 2U vBroker 400 chassis. These chassis modules can be mixed and matched to suit the users requirements.
