The vAssure capability now gives you visibility to traffic flowing through conventional GigE copper network links. What makes this possible, overcoming the problems associated with monitoring this medium are: hyper-fast switchover (typically 30-60ms) if a fault occurs - the switchover registers as noise and doesn't trigger a spanning tree delay. Therefore, you need not worry about the monitor tool infrastructure either bringing down the network or introducing more problems into the network than were there previously.
